Skin Care & Rejuvenation
Sun damage, aging, and genetics can all create frustrating skin irregularities. Thanks to modern skin care technology and equipment, treating skin problems has never been so easy. Chances are, there’s a safe and effective solution for whatever facial cosmetic concerns you have.
Whether you have a specific area of concern or would like a full facial rejuvenation, you may benefit from one or more of the following treatments; laser or IPL treatments, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or dermal fillers.
Of course, the best way to determine what’s right for you is through an in-person consultation. At the time of your consult, Dr. Farole will complete a full facial assessment and talk to you about your ultimate goals. Depending on the severity of your condition and your desired outcome, Dr. Farole will work closely with you to create a customized plan tailored just for you.
At our Oral and Facial Surgical Center, we offer a plethora of skin care treatment options. Dr. Farole or a member of our staff will be happy to discuss any of the below procedures with you more in-depth upon request.
Patients who have residual acne scarring may benefit from dermabrasion, chemical peels, microneedling, or less-invasive light-based therapies such as IPL treatments. Deeper scars can be reduced or removed temporarily with dermal fillers.
Wrinkles can occur due to aging, sun damage, or purely genetics. Botox may be a good option for you if you have wrinkles in the upper face and would like a minimally-invasive option. Other wrinkle treatments include laser skin resurfacing or chemical peels which can stimulate collagen growth.
Patients with unsightly melasma on the cheeks, bridge of their nose, forehead, or chin can benefit from procedures that remove the top layers of skin and stimulate collagen and peptide production. Dr. Farole may recommend a chemical peel, laser skin resurfacing, dermabrasion, or microdermabrasion depending on the severity of your melasma.
Dermabrasion is a surgical skin scraping technique designed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure can be done in either a small area or the entire face for a full rejuvenation. Dermabrasion removes the uppermost layers of the skin to improve skin tone and texture.
Chemical peels can be used to treat a variety of cosmetic problems. The procedure entails placing a chemical solution on the skin allowing the damaged superficial layers to gently peel away. Peels can be as subtle or dramatic as you’d like. Among other things, chemical peels can treat pigmentation problems, brown spots, acne scars, and wrinkles. Patients should avoid sun exposure after receiving a chemical peel.
Microneedling is a minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment. Tiny punctures are made with a super fine needle to the top layer of the skin. The controlled damage creates new collagen and elastin production. Scars, pore size, stretch marks, and overall texture can be improved.
Patients who are seeking an overall clearer complexion may want to consider PRP treatments. Blood is collected through a simple blood draw before being processed and injected into targeted facial areas. New collagen production is stimulated with the help of your own platelets. The result is smoother, tighter skin.
Botox can temporarily improve fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and deep folds for up to 4-months. With a short 10-minute in-office procedure, Botox works to block nerve impulses which relax muscles and reveals a smoother, younger-looking facial appearance.
Rosacea can be an embarrassing and uncomfortable problem for many men and women. To calm redness on the chin, cheeks, nose, and forehead laser resurfacing treatments or dermabrasion are often recommended.
