Cheek & Chin Shaping
Cheek and chin reshaping entails contouring your facial appearance by either adding volume or removing excess fat tissue. Our Oral and Facial Surgical Center offers both surgical and non-surgical options when it comes to shaping the cheeks and chin. We’ll work closely with you to help you achieve your desired results, whatever they may be.
How Does It Work?
Patients who wish to have a more slender facial appearance may want to consider liposuction. The procedure involves making small incisions in targeted areas and removing localized fat deposits through a thin cannula tube. The fat can either be discarded or processed for fat-transfer elsewhere on the face.
Downtime is unique for each procedure. However, Dr. Farole uses the best techniques available to minimize recovery time and keep side effects as mild as possible. You can expect to return to work in about 1-week after liposuction, fat-transfer, or implants. Dermal fillers have little to no downtime at all.
Is It Right for Me?
You may be a good candidate for facial liposuction if you have unwanted fat deposits in your cheeks or chin. Fat-transfer, dermal fillers, or implants may be right for you if you have volume-loss due to genetics or the natural aging process.
A full facial evaluation is the best way to determine what is right for you. Be sure to talk to your doctor about your short and long-term goals at your initial consultation.
Men and women who are in overall good health and no underlying medical conditions are best suited for cosmetic surgery. Patients should have realistic expectations about what the procedure can do for them.
How Long Does It Take to See Results?
Some results from surgical procedures such as liposuction, fat-transfer, and implants can be seen directly after your procedure. However, you should see continued improvement as swelling and bruising dissipate. Most dermal fillers provide immediate results.
