What is Elevoplasty?

If you snore or have a partner who snores, Elevoplasty could provide the relief you’ve been seeking. Elevoplasty is a minimally-invasive solution that aims to significantly reduce mild to moderate snoring in patients who do not want to wear a snore-reduction appliance at night.

Elevoplasty works by slightly shortening the soft palate, which helps reduce the likelihood that the palate will obstruct breathing while the patient is sleeping. At the same time, the procedure stiffens the soft palate, thus making it less likely that it will vibrate (which produces that annoying snoring sound!).

In most cases, Elevoplasty significantly reduced snoring. In some cases, the treatment eliminated snoring altogether!

Elevoplasty can be performed right in the office, making it a highly convenient choice for patients seeking quieter, more restful nights.

Am I a Good Candidate for Elevoplasty?

You’re a good candidate for this in-office treatment if you haven’t been diagnosed with sleep apnea, and you don’t want to wear an anti-snoring appliance while you sleep. Elevoplasty works best with patients who have mild to moderate snoring problems.

Please note that Elevoplasty is considered to be an elective treatment; therefore, it’s not covered by health insurance plans.

How Long Does an Elevoplasty Treatment Take?

Each Elevoplasty treatment is tailored to the patient’s needs, meaning treatment times can vary. However, all Elevoplasty treatments are performed in-office, with no need for general anesthesia.

What Results Will I See?

Results can be life-changing, especially if you’ve been plagued by snoring or unable to get a restful night’s sleep. Elevoplasty can result in an immediate reduction in snoring, with some patients experiencing total elimination of snoring altogether.

Is There Any Downtime?

There’s minimal downtime associated with Elevoplasty; some patients choose to take a day off after their procedure. Your diet may be slightly restricted for a few days after your treatment while your soft palate heals.
